Our Story
Smallscapes was built on a lifetime of passion, knowledge, and love of plants.
After graduating with a BS in Biology from UNC-Greensboro, Carrie worked in science education for 13 years before deciding she wanted to turn her garden hobby into a full-time job.
For the past five years she has expressed her artistic eye and scientific background through the art of “smallscaping” — curating pockets of plants to beautify the smallest of spaces. Through her work with private residences, business, and events, she has spread natural beauty across the Piedmont.
